Travelling by train

There is a train station at Harling Road Station, but the trains are infrequent. 

 

A better option would be to travel to Diss or Thetford and get a taxi from there.

Directions from Thetford, Norfolk (the West)

Travel along the A11 towards Norwich. After approximately six miles turn off the A11 on to the B1111 towards East Harling.

 

After approximately a mile you will cross the level crossing at Harling Road Station.

 

After another 1.5 miles you will enter East Harling village. Proceed up the hill, round the sharp right hand bend, past the market place and Post Office (both on your left) and round another right hand bend. Just as it seems you are leaving the village, the entrance to the Elms is on the right, opposite the junction on the left.

Directions from Norwich, Norfolk (the East)

Drive on the A11 towards London. After approximately 15 miles you will pass a signpost for Snetterton Race Circuit on the left.

 

After another two miles turn off the A11 on to the B1111 towards East Harling. After a mile you will cross the level crossing at Harling Road Station.

 

After another 1.5 miles you will enter East Harling village. Proceed up the hill, round the sharp right hand bend, past the market place and Post Office (both on your left) and round another right hand bend. Just as it seems you are leaving the village, the entrance to the Elms is on the right, opposite the junction on the left.

Directions from Watton, Norfolk (the North)

Travel along the A1075 towards Thetford. After appreximately four miles turn off the A1075 on to the B1111 towards East Harling.

 

After approximately six miles you will cross the level crossing at Harling Road Station.   After another 1.5 miles you will enter East Harling village. Proceed up the hill, round the sharp right hand bend, past the market place and Post Office (both on your left) and round another right hand bend. Just as it seems you are leaving the village, the entrance to the Elms is on the right, opposite the junction on the left.

Directions from Garboldisham, Norfolk (the South)

Travel along the B1111 towards East Harling. After three miles you will enter East Harling village. Keep a look out for the entrance to the Elms, it's on the left, opposite the junction on the right.
